ORDLØS

The site-related collobaritive work ORDLØS (wordless/speechless) makes use of the large window surfaces of Visningsrommet USF and faces out into public space. The quality of the work deferres from the dialogue between the chosen word, the way the word is installed, expectations about what visual art is - and the possibility to look through the letters and visit an exhibition filled with words: Skriver seg inn. The word 'ordløs' is paradoxical and rich with associations. It is beautiful fact that there (has to) be a word for the experience of not finding words, and it is interesting that there is a need for the word in both admiration and horror, as well as in art, philosophy and religion. The format of the approx. 2.5 meter high, transparent letters is balanced through the use of a semi-transparent foil matching the foil already in use at the main entrance to USF.
